Social and Community Activities

We aim to instil a sense of responsibility and community spirit in our students. Our social and community activities include a variety of events and programs designed to engage and inspire.  Some of these activities are:

  • Stay and Play: A fun and relaxing event where students can interact and bond with each other outside of the classroom environment.
  • ANZAC Day: A solemn occasion where we commemorate the contributions and sacrifices of Australian and New Zealand soldiers, fostering a sense of national pride and remembrance.  Our school has a proud tradition of participating in the ANZAC Day march at the Greenbank RSL.  Each year, students, staff and families come together to honour the bravery and dedication of those who served.  The march is followed by a ceremony, where our students lay wreaths and pay their respect, reinforcing the values of respect, gratitude and community spirit.
  • Celebration of Learning: An event dedicated to showcasing the students' achievements and progress, encouraging a love for learning and academic excellence. At the end of Term 1 and Term 3, parents are invited into the classroom to view student work and celebrate their successes, fostering a collaborative and celebratory environment.
  • Charity Drives: Students can get involved in charity drives and community service projects, learning the importance of giving back.
  • Buddy Classes: Older students can mentor younger ones, providing guidance and support while building strong relationships.
  • Cultural Celebrations: We celebrate various cultural events and festivals, fostering an appreciation for diversity and inclusion.
